Loss is one of life’s most difficult experiences. It often arrives without warning. And it does not move on simply because the world expects it to.
I’m Amy Fabian-Crump, founder of Dragonfly Vibes. This space was born from my own experience with loss. From learning how quiet it can become when support fades, and how deeply something can remain long after the visible signs have passed.

I did not create Dragonfly Vibes from a place of expertise. I created it from my own experience.
Not to rush grief.
Not to frame it as a journey.
Not to offer answers.
But to make room for what continues.
Over time, this space has taken shape through thoughtfully created companions, designed to be turned to when needed.
Nothing here is meant to fix or explain grief. It is simply a place where care remains.
What Guides This Space
Why This Exists
Dragonfly Vibes exists because grief does not end when the world moves on. This space was created to offer companions that can be turned to beyond the first moments of loss. Not to rush grief. Not to provide answers. But to honor grief as something people live with over time.
What We Believe
Grief does not follow a timeline. Support should not disappear once the visible urgency fades. People deserve presence without pressure. Care without performance. Compassion without correction.
The Values That Shape Us
-
Presence Over Pressure: The most meaningful support does not rush, fix, or direct.
-
Respect for Ongoing Grief: Grief is personal and continuing. It does not require resolution.
-
Compassion With Restraint: Care can be steady without being overwhelming.
-
Quiet Community Care: Support offered without obligation or performance.
-
Inclusion, Dignity, and Belonging: Every experience of grief deserves respect.

Why Dragonfly Vibes Exists
In August 2020, I unexpectedly lost my youngest sister. We shared a deep bond. Her sudden absence changed my life in ways I still can't explain. Alongside the grief were unanswered questions, overwhelming emotions, and a quiet concern for the future, especially for my nieces and nephews who would grow up without their mother.

In the months that followed, I noticed how quickly support often fades, even though the need for care does not. What began as small, thoughtful gestures for friends slowly became something more intentional. A desire to create something that could remain.

Dragonfly Vibes was born from that need. It exists for the quieter seasons. When life has moved on, but grief has not. The companions created here are meant to offer presence without expectation. Support without pressure. Honoring grief as something people live with over time.
The Meaning Behind the Dragonfly

The story behind Dragonfly Vibes is deeply personal.
For years, my sister and I talked about getting matching tattoos, but life always intervened, often with the joyful news of her pregnancies.
In 2011, when she traveled to Oregon to be my matron of honor, we finally made it happen.
We chose a dragonfly design, with our initials intertwined in its body. Inked on the tops of our feet, it became a lasting symbol of our bond.
Every time I look at it, I’m reminded that connection doesn’t disappear with time, distance, or even loss.
The Dragonfly Vibes logo, two dragonflies facing each other, represents our enduring connection.
Though my sister is no longer here, I feel her presence in the care and intention behind this work.
The dragonfly reflects what Dragonfly Vibes stands for:
-
Continuation and change without erasure
-
Adaptability without force
-
Presence without instruction
-
Connection that remains

Dragonfly Vibes is not about moving on.
It’s about acknowledging what’s been lost, while making room for care that stays.
